Soft, chewy snickerdoodle cookies rolled in a fragrant cinnamon-sugar coating made with Organic Ceylon Cinnamon Powder — a classic homemade treat with warm, sweet spice in every bite.
Ingredients
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
Cinnamon-Sugar Coating
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper
- Whisk together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl
- Beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined
- Stir together the sugar and Organic Ceylon Cinnamon Powder in a small bowl for the coating
- Scoop dough into 1.5-tablespoon balls and roll each one in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated
- Place balls about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets
- Bake for 9-11 minutes, until edges are just set but centers still look slightly soft
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack
