Organic henna powder can be used as a natural way to tint your eyebrows at home. Henna is best suited for tinting dark or red hair. It works by filling in thin areas, creating symmetry and fullness in your brows, you do not need to fill them in with makeup.
This simple DIY recipe is
straightforward enough to apply yourself at home, just make sure to avoid
getting henna powder on countertops, towels, etc., as it stains easily. Tinting
your eyebrows with organic henna powder is safe for sensitive skin and a great
vegan alternative to average beauty store supplies.
Ingredients
Brow brush
Petroleum jelly
1-2 teaspoons organic henna powder
Cotton swabs/pads
Water
Plastic wrap
Towel
Directions
Brush your eyebrows through using a brow brush.
Use your fingertips to apply petroleum jelly
around your eyebrows on the areas of your skin you wish to avoid dying
Mix the organic henna powder and a small amount
of water together in a small bowl to make a paste.
The consistency should be thin enough to spread,
but not so thin that it drips when applied to your brows.
Use cotton swabs to apply the henna
paste to your eyebrows, going along their natural shape.
Use a small piece of plastic wrap to cover each
eyebrow so that the paste does not dry out
Allow the paste to tint your brows for
at least 10 minutes for a lighter affect, but up to an hour depending on the
depth of color you desire.
Wash off the henna paste using warm water and a
mild soap
Pat your face gently with a towel to
dry. Re-apply as often as you would like to reach your desired tint.
Recipe Note
Treat yourself to a spa moment at home
by gently exfoliating your eyebrows beforehand. Relax as the henna powder works
to darken and embolden your beautiful, natural eyebrows.
