This Black Pepper Steak recipe is a classic and simple way to enjoy a delicious steak dinner at home. The steaks are seasoned with a blend of coarse black pepper and salt, which gives it a bold and robust flavor that complements the natural taste of the steak perfectly.
Ingredients
2 (8 oz) ribeye or sirloin steaks

2 tsp coarse black pepper
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter (optional)
Directions
Remove the steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before cooking.
Preheat your grill or a cast-iron skillet over high heat.
Season the steaks on both sides with black pepper and salt.
Drizzle the steaks with olive oil and rub it in to evenly coat the steaks.
Place the steaks on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer if you prefer your steak to be more well-done.
If you're using a skillet, Once you've flipped the steak, add butter on top of the steak and spoon the butter over the steak as it cooks, this will add a rich buttery flavor to the steak.
Remove the steaks from the grill or skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before cutting and serving.
Serve with your favorite side dish and enjoy!

- You can add other seasonings such as garlic powder, onion powder, paprika or thyme if you want to add more flavor.
