This recipe produces the most flavorful spiced milk tea. The method emphasizes the use of whole cardamom pods to preserve more seeds within the beverage. To improve the taste and color of this drink, a second steep process can be employed where the solids are extracted with either cold water or fresh milk, rather than removing them through a strainer.
Ingredients
2 Cups of Water
1 Tbsp of Sugar
2 Tbsp Whole Milk

3-4 Whole Cardamom Pods
Directions
Bring the water to a boil and add the pods. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Remove the pods and discard them. Add the milk and sugar and mix well until the sugar dissolves.
Strain through.
Recipe Note
1. Put the water, sugar and whole cardamom pods in a pan and leave it to simmer for 10 minutes. Remove the pods and discard them.
